11 Jun 2010, 6:05 pm / Floods kill at least 20 June 11 after storms cripple the southwest part of Arkansas near Caddo Gap. At least another 40 are missing.

Tropical storm

30 May 2010, 6:26 pm / Tropical storm Agatha has left dozens dead and forced another 74,000 to flee after more than 3 feet of rain is dropped on certain parts of Guatemala May 30. Landslides, mudslides also spotted.

Bomb

26 May 2010, 8:12 pm / A bomb has killed six and wounded another 40 May 26 in Stavropol, outside a performance by a dance company from the Russian republic of Chechnya. Being called act of terrorism.

Plane crash

26 May 2010, 8:09 pm / An Air India flight from Dubai crashed May 22, killing 158. Another eight survived. The cause was pilot error.

12 May 2010, 6:51 pm / An Afriqiyah Airways plane with 104 on board crashed upon landing at Tripoli airport May 12. All but a 10-year-old Dutch child were killed.

Mine explosion/collapse

8 May 2010, 8:54 pm / At least 60 are dead and another 30 missing in Russia mine blast May 8.

Bomb

2 May 2010, 1:23 pm / A bomb was found inside a Nissan Pathfinder SUV May 2 in Times Square. The Square was cleared; the bomb did not detonate; no injuries.

Flood

1 May 2010, 9:25 pm / At least 21 are dead following flooding around Dover, Tenn., May 1. Cause is heavy rainfall.

30 Apr 2010, 11:27 pm / At least three are dead and 25 injured after a tornado rips through Scotland and Shady Grove in Van Buren County and in Cleveland in Conway County, Arkansas, April 30.

24 Apr 2010, 7:03 pm / A deadly tornado ripped through Yazoo City, MS, April 24, killing at least 12 and injuring dozens.

Explosion

21 Apr 2010, 8:27 pm / An explosion on Deepwater Horizon, an oil rig off the coast of Louisiana, injured dozens; 11 are considered missing; 126 escaped the blast. No initial reports on cause of the explosion.

Train accident

21 Apr 2010, 8:22 pm / A luxury train caring several tourists sped out of control in Pretoria April 21, killing two and injuring at least 20. About 60 people were on board. The brakes did not work on the train.

Earthquake

14 Apr 2010, 7:58 am / More than 589 are dead after a 6.9-magnitude quake struck Qinghai province, China, late April 13 and early April 14. Another 10,000 are injured.
